MFDH: The Olde Gilford Schoolhouse

The Olde Gilford Schoolhouse, located in the village of Gilford, a part of the town of Innisfil, Ontario, has a long and interesting history...which the chick at the real estate agent's office said she would fax to me, but never did. When I do retrieve a copy of it I'll post all of the savoury details here. In brief: the schoolhouse was built in 1897, and served as a working school until the 1970s. Then it was renovated by a mad Swedish woodworker and sold to a family of ice-fishing Newfoundlanders in 1986, who in turn sold it to us in 2004.

The schoolhouse is currently home to StoryZoo Studios, manufacturers of quality special effects and animation, servicing the broadcast design and corporate sectors.
