Astra's State of the Baby Report: Ingrid is now in her fourteenth week of life and she continues to grow by leaps and bounds. She has three teeth which have grown in nicely on her bottom and two new eye teeth peeking out today from the top gums. Poor little pickle has been having some hard teething times but, with true Ingrid tolerance, she continues to be a trooper...

| Updates! Updates! Updates! Fans of the babe brace yourselves, because today we've added fresh content to every section of Ingrid's emporium of webby cuteness. Behold: Astra has issued the newest State of the Baby address, Matthew has filed his Fourth Trimester Report, a giggling and tooth-flashing baby is the super-vedette of the Movie Theatre page, and we've been forced to move to a multiple page format for the Photo Gallery in order to find room for every single scrumptious thumbnail. Ta-dah! |

Put Your Hands Together: Ingrid has begun experimenting with bringing her hands together and bringing held objects to her mouth (and, subsequently drooling on them). Our books tell us that these actions are good sign-posts for benchmarking the development of Ingrid's growing capacity for basic motor control. Which is good. Also: in another vein altogether I think the world at large should know that we have found Huggies diapers to be vastly inferior to their similarly-priced market-dominating competitor, Pampers. When Ingrid pooed in her huggies all of the poo ended up in the leg of her sleeper, like a sort of poo-sock. Highly distasteful to mop up after that one, I can tell you. We just hosed the kid off. This morning she awoke informing her mommy of a severe pee-containment breech, leading to a soggy sleeper. So, in our experience so far: Huggies bad, Pampers good. Plus: there are always more photos.

Canadian Baby Bandits: New in the Photo Gallery is a sampling of images from the series taken by a competent but phantasmagorically expensive outfit called Canadian Baby Photographers. We opted for their cheapest package, and will use our magical digital toys to make our own reproductions.

Matthew's State of the Baby Report: Ingrid had her first check-up with her MD today. Dr Poldes checked the rotation and flexibility of Ingrid's limbs and hinges, and peered into her various apertures, ultimately declaring everything to be in ship shape...

Astra's State of the Baby Report: Ingrid is a month old! She is growing by leaps and bounds. Having just been to the midwives I have some updates. Ingrid now weighs 10 lbs and 8 ounces. I suspect it goes up every day because she really likes to eat. Matthew has taken to calling her "Boss Hog" because of her two, fairly generous, chins...
